Handling Unit (HU)

The handling unit is the physical unit consisting of packaging materials (load carrier / packaging material) and the materials stored on/in it.

In Bitergo WMS - Warehouse Star, the handling unit manages the stock by means of a storage bin reference. A stock is a snapshot that represents a query as an existing stock overview. The nesting of handling units is supported. This means that a handling unit can contain another handling unit.
