Digital Order Confirmation

The digital order confirmation is an electronic confirmation that documents the receipt and acceptance of an order. It is transmitted digitally and contains information such as order details, delivery terms and payment information. Digital order confirmations ensure transparency and accuracy as well as an efficient exchange of information in the ordering process. In EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), the ORDRSP (purchase ORDer ReSPonse) message type provides an order confirmation in the standardized, structured UN/EDIFACT data format.
