Batch

A batch is a quantity of similar products or goods that have been produced under the same conditions and in a coherent process. In warehouse management, it is often necessary for items belonging to a batch to be stored together in order to ensure the traceability of batches. This is required by law, for example, in the pharmaceutical or food sector, so that defective products can be easily withdrawn from circulation if needed.
