Order picking

Order picking refers to the gathering of goods from a warehouse to fulfill customer orders or prepare product deliveries. The purpose of order picking is to identify and collect the required items according to an order list or delivery bill and prepare them for shipment or delivery. Picking plays a crucial role in the supply chain as it has a direct impact on customer satisfaction, inventory levels and operating costs. Efficient picking processes help to ensure that orders can be processed accurately and quickly.

Picking orders are received in Warehouse Star via an (SAP) connector. The warehouse manager then sets up the picking orders and triggers the picking process. Picking is carried out using the mobile device. In addition to withdrawals, clarification cases are also handled.
