Advance Shipping Notice (ASN)

In warehouse management, an Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) refers to electronic advance information about the delivery of goods together with details about the delivery, such as information about the article quantity, article numbers, weight or delivery time.  

Based on the information provided in the advance notice, the necessary preparations for goods receipt and further processing of the delivery can be made on the receiving end.
