Order processing in the warehouse with EDI connection to ERP system

Challenge

  • A large number of orders for bales of fabric are processed every day.
  • Each bale of fabric has a different length, which previously had to be recorded manually at several points, which involved a great deal of effort - this had do be minimized through digitalization. 

Solution

  • Bitergo developed an EDI solution to transfer customer orders to Rhegartex's ERP system, from where they are also forwarded to the Bitergo WMS - Warehouse Star.
  • Rhegartex' employees use the Bitergo WMS - Warehouse Star to process the orders.
  • A picking order is generated from each order.
  • During the picking process, the goods are recorded with the respective metre lengths - the lengths of the goods are now automatically in the system.
  • Once the picking orders have been processed, the deliveries are packed and the delivery notes are generated, which are transmitted to the ERP system via an EDI interface.
  • Invoices are automatically generated from the delivery notes in the ERP system.
