Application Support Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our support team which is organized in early and late shifts (6:00-14:30 / 13:30-20:00 + on-call duty 20:00-22:00 CET). We are currently planning to merge the existing three support channels into one and to make the support organization ready for 24/7 support.

At Bitergo we value innovation, dedication, and expertise in providing exceptional support to our clients. As a member of our team, you will play an important role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our software services and in creating the new support organization.

Your tasks:

  • General application support for our Warehouse Management System and for bespoke software solutions in our client’s IT environment
  • Provide technical support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and escalation management
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address any potential issues to ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize´support performance
  • Document support activities, solutions, and procedures to maintain an organized knowledge base for future reference
  • You will be supported by well-documented workarounds and will have to keep them up to date.

Your profile:

  • Prior experience working in a shift schedule and willingness to adapt to a night shift schedule or on-call service
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (German/English), with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at operational level
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices for IT service management
  • Experience with remote work and help desk / ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA)
  • Basic SQL database knowledge and network configurations (VPN)
  • A degree in computer science, software development or a similar field is desirable.
