In high-bay storages, goods are stored in particularly high racking systems. These racking systems often extend over several levels and enable maximum vertical utilization of the available storage space. High-bay warehouses are characterized by narrow aisles between the rows of racks in order to save space and maximize storage capacity. The goods are stored in special shelving compartments or on pallets in the racks. The stored items are usually accessed using forklift trucks or automated conveyor systems.
