DevOps-Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at Bitergo, you will have the unique opportunity to work in a Jenkins-oriented environment in the Open Telekom Cloud and actively contribute to our development processes.

 

Your tasks:

  • Design, implementation and management of automated build, deployment and configuration processes for applications within the Open Telekom Cloud, using Jenkins as the central CI/CD tool
  • Close cooperation with the development teams to promote and integrate DevOps principles
  • Management of the Open Telekom Cloud infrastructure with focus on scalability, reliability and security
  • Monitoring, identification and resolution of system and application issues to ensure uninterrupted functionality
  • Implementation of security standards and best practices to ensure data security and compliance
  • Automating repetitive tasks and processes to achieve efficiency gains
  • Participation in on-call teams for emergency situations and unscheduled maintenance work
  • Contribute Java and Spring Boot skills to the development and optimization of our cloud management tools

Your profile:

  • A successfully completed degree in computer science or a similar qualification with comparable skills and experience
  • Proven professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or in similar positions
  • Sound knowledge in the use of Jenkins for CI/CD processes
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Expertise in cloud computing, especially with the Open Telekom Cloud
  • Familiarity with container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in dealing with common Linux distributions and tools
  • Experience in the implementation of security measures in the DevOps area
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Team spirit, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an agile environment
