Introduction

Repackage Mobile App

The Repackage Mobile App is one of the Bitergo WMS utility apps and it lets you repackage handling units.

Basic Concepts

Specifically, you can change the load support/ loading aid of a handling unit, split one handling unit into two or move a number of items from one handling unit to another, or merge two handling units into one.

User Interface

The Repackage Mobile App uses the standard Bitergo WMS mobile app user interface. For more details, see the document on User Interface and User Experience.

Step-by-Step Guide to the App

Login

You can log in to the app in two ways:

  • by manually entering your user credentials
  • by scanning your personal QR code from the Bitergo WMS user portal

Manually entering your login credentials

In the "User" field, enter the email address you used to register with Bitergo WMS, and in the "Password" field, enter your password. Click the "Login" button to log in to the system. You will be logged in and redirected to the app’s home screen. If necessary, you can use the "Change Server" button to manually enter or change the server address of your Bitergo WMS.

Scanning Your Personal QR Code

Click the QR code icon to open the camera. Log in to the user portal using a browser on another device and scan your personal QR code with the camera. It contains your user information, password, and the server address. As soon as the QR code is scanned, you will be logged in and redirected to the app's home screen.

Start Screen: Chose a Repackaging Process

In order to repackage a handling unit, choose between

  • changing the load support, splitting a handling unit, or merging handling units. Follow the instructions in the following chapters to complete the process.

Instructions for changing a load support

Step 1: Select "Change Load Support"

Press "Change Load Support" to begin the process.

Step 2: Scan a handling unit

The "Change Load Support" screen appears. Scan a handling unit with your mobile device to display the following information on the screen:

  • Handling unit number
  • Tenant
  • Bin Location
  • LSM

Step 3: Select load support

After having scanned the handling unit, choose a load support type/ loading aid from the dropdown menu directly underneath the displayed information about the selected handling unit. The list of available load supports/ loading aids can be configured in the master data app.

Step 4: Press "Book"

Press the "Book" button to confirm the change of the load support/ loading aid. The message "Load support was changed successfully!" appears.

Instructions for splitting a handling unit

Step 1: Select "Split handling unit"

Select "Split handling unit" to begin the process.

Step 2: Scan the handling unit you want to split

The "Split handling unit" screen appears. The screen is divided in two parts: the upper part shows information about the source handling unit, the one you want to split, and underneath, in the lower part of the screen, the information for the destination handling unit is displayed.

Step 3: Scan the bin location of the source handling unit

Optionally you can also scan the bin location of the source handling unit.

Step 4: Select item to split away

Press the icon underneath the bin location named "Item" to select the item you want to remove from the handling unit. A screen appears showing the contents of the handling unit you have selected. All the items are displayed in a list.

The following information is displayed for every item:

  • Item Number
  • Item Image
  • Quantity
  • Chosen Quantity to remove from handling unit

Step 5: Select quantity

Press the item you want to remove to specify the exact quantity you want to move to a new handling unit. A dialog appears called "Select quantity". In the "quantity" field the quantity of the items contained in the handling unit is displayed. Enter the quantity you wish to remove and press OK. The previous screen appears with the items list. Now in the "chosen" field you can see the quantity you have chosen to remove from the handling unit.

Step 6: Select the destination handling unit

Now you need to select the destination handling unit in the lower part of the screen. You have two options: scan the handling unit to which you want to repackage the items, or generate a new handling unit number. If you want to move the items to an existing handling unit, just scan the handling unit code. If you want to generate a new handling unit, press the additional menu and select "Generate destination handling unit..."

Step 7: Select the load support type

Now you need to select the load support type for the new handling unit. A dialog appears called "Select pallet type". Select the load support type from the dropdown and press OK to confirm.

Step 8: Press "Book" to split the handling units

The new handling unit number appears in the destination location. Scan the bin location where the new handling unit will be stored and press "BOOK" to complete the splitting process.

Instructions for merging two handling units

Step 1: Select "Merge handling units"

Select "Merge handling units" to begin the process.

Step 2: Scan the source handling unit

The "Merge handling units" screen appears. The screen is divided in two parts: the upper part shows information about the source handling unit, the one from which you want to move items, and in the lower part of the screen the information for the destination handling unit is displayed. The destination handling unit is the unit on which the items will be merged.

Step 3: Scan the destination handling unit

Then scan the destination handling unit. Optionally you can scan the bin locations.

Step 4: Switch handling units optionally

Optionally you can use the arrows between the source and destination handling units to switch the handling units.

Step 5: Press Book to merge the handling units.

Optionally you can also scan the bin location of the source handling unit and then press "Book" to merge the handling units.
